Get started¶
This kit is designed so you can stand up a credible data & AI governance programme in weeks instead of months. You don't need to use everything — start where the pressure is.
Not sure where you stand? Start with the assessment
The role-based assessment asks only the questions relevant to your role, scores them by severity, and tells you which templates close your biggest gaps. It takes about ten minutes, and everything stays in your browser. If you would rather read first, carry on below.
Three other routes in, depending on what you need:
- I've been asked to… — someone has handed you a request; find it and start where it points.
- 30/60/90-day plans — the paths below, sequenced with effort estimates, including a small-organisation variant.
- Standards crosswalk — if you are held to ISO/IEC 42001, NIST AI RMF, or Singapore's framework rather than the EU AI Act.
Three common starting points¶
- Baseline with the Maturity Assessment.
- Adopt the Data Governance Framework and AI Governance Framework.
- Stand up the committee and agree the RACI.
- Open the core registers.
- Take the first board pack within a quarter.
- Run the EU AI Act Readiness Checklist.
- Populate the AI System Inventory and classify each system against the timeline.
- Adopt the Acceptable AI Use Policy and AI Development & Deployment Standard.
- Assess your highest-risk systems with the AI Risk Assessment.
- Assemble a board pack from what you have.
- Show the risk register and control library.
- Report progress against the KPI / KRI dashboard.
How each template page is structured¶
Every template follows the same shape so the kit stays predictable:
- Purpose — what the artefact is for.
- When to use it — the trigger and cadence.
- How to use it — practical steps to adapt it.
- The template — the reusable content itself, ready to copy.
- Adaptation notes — sector, size, and jurisdiction tweaks.
